Shanghai Shanzhitian Model Art Design Co., Ltd. — 上海山之田模型艺术设计有限公司 — has made architectural and technological models in Shanghai since 1998.

Our story

SZT Model (Shanghai Shanzhitian Model Art Design Co., Ltd.) is an architectural model maker founded in Shanghai in 1998. It builds real estate sales gallery models, urban planning models, industrial displays, interior unit models and kinetic landmark models, with 1,000+ craftsmen, a 9,000 m² self-owned headquarters factory and delivery to 22 countries.

We started as a small workshop of model makers who believed a model should be as carefully finished as the building it represents. In 2009 and 2011 we bought the two five-storey buildings at No. 599 Xinge Road in Songjiang that are still our headquarters, giving every department — design, printing, engraving, colour, landscape, lighting and assembly — space under one roof.

Several of the senior colourists who mix our facade finishes have been with us since the beginning, and our plant-making team, which develops all tree styling and greenery colours in-house, is one of the largest and longest-serving in China. Our independent R&D department tests new modelling materials and colour combinations on every major project.

Today our models stand in sales galleries and exhibition halls for developers including Poly, China Overseas, Vanke, Longfor, CR Land, Greenland, Sunac, Greentown and Yanlord, and we have built from the design files of AECOM, KPF, HOK, Zaha Hadid Architects and gmp.
